  Wife and I had lunch there recently. Quickly seated, water with lemon for the wife
  , big cold draft Miller Lite for me. Salads brought right out, nicely crunchy really cold garden salad with tomato and what appeared to be house made rocquefort / blue cheese dressing
  , really good. My wife had a huge grilled chicken breast topped with pineapple slice, teriyaki, I'm guessing. I had a chicken fried steak with gravy, fully loaded baked potato including bacon and chives, wow good!
  Top the meal with hot yeasty dinner rolls. The only thing I would change is the loud c&w bar music . Dining requires something much softer. Other then that if you're in the mood for some mouthwatering steaks and such here's your place, go !!

  Beautiful place inside and out.. great music , super staff.  The fried fish was amazing and that's a lot coming from someone that can through down a great fish fry at home! I'd say the fish was on top three fried fish I have ever had.. everything that was suppose to be piping hot was and items that should be cold were.. the salad was cold and so was the chilled plate it was served in and the sour cream , cheese etc for loaded baked potato was served on chilled plate.  The loaded baked potato soup is very good. My sister an I took my dad and he said the meatloaf was real good as well.. I will be back to check out the bar next time!!! I normally don't give 5 star however I couldn't find one reason to score less than.  We did go at an odd tone so there was t very many people dinning at that time.. we need cone back during peak hour to see how they fair.

  Finally stopped to try this place out and it was great! Very friendly staff, we got our food fast and it was piping hot (they weren't very busy because it was between lunch and dinner). I had the the catfish which was very tasty and the hush puppies were a little spicy which I really liked. The broccoli was nice and tender but not mushy. My husband had the chicken fried chicken with cream gravy and mashed potatoes. He also had fried okra which he said is the best he's had in a long time. He said his whole meal was excellent. (No pic because he dove in and cleaned his plate) We will definitely be going back when we are out this way!

  Such good ribs!!  This was an unexpected stop and we had great service from Casey!  My kids weren't thrilled about the Mac and cheese, but the ribs were def the winner on the menu.  We were just driving through town and we are so happy we found this place.

  I have only been to shumardies once. I had two hungry boys with me. All we ordered were hamburgers and french fries. 45 minutes after we ordered we finally got our food. Don't get me wrong, it was tasty but "common sense" sex education.
